Baby Q Baby Shower

Baby Q Baby Shower

One of my favorite rolls at a previous job was being on the event committee. Essentially, we put together all inner office celebrations such as baby showers, team bonding events and the annual Christmas party.

This Baby Q Baby Shower was thrown for two coworkers whose wives were due around the same time. Since one was having a girl and the other one was having a boy, we opted for this gender neutral theme baby shower.

Baby Q Decorations

I made the banner with my Cricut, hands down one of the best things I own. The investment is well worth it just in the time you’ll save alone!

The onesies on the cake topper and the pig shaped note paper was cut with the Cricut as well.

The mason jars were glass jars I had picked up at the store and painted white.

The galvanized pig, utensil holder, tiered tray, cake stand and chalkboard sign came from Hobby Lobby.

Baby Q Food

Since we weren’t able to host this event outside with a large BBQ that this theme truly calls for, we set up a sweets table that everyone was able to enjoy after their lunch.

For food, I made mini pies and a checkered cloth looking cake.

For the cake, I used a box of Duncan Hines blue cake mix and a box of Duncan Hines pink cake mix, frosted it with buttercream frosting and then stuck on squares that I cut out from this edible sugar sheet. Did you know this was a thing??

Baby Q Game

We asked all of the guests to give the two dads-to-be their best “dadvice”.
