Harry Potter Goodie Bags DIY

There are tons of ideas for Harry Potter goodie bags on Pinterest. The ones that I made are based off of this design I saw and I love how they turned out!

Everything was bought from Michaels. The red and gold construction paper were part of the pack I used to make the Happy Birthday banner. The grey, black, white and tan were remnants from past project packs.

I used my Cricut to make the cutouts (I honestly don’t know what I would do without this machine). I bought two different tie templates from the online Cricut Design Space. This was in order to get the tie and collar shape I wanted. The red and grey uniform pieces were made by playing around with their free shapes until I achieved the desired look.

Once everything was put together, I cut off the excess to make everything look even. I then cut the red and grey piece showing behind the collar and added the skin tone paper. This can be done with either double sided tape or a glue stick. I found that it was faster and less messy to put everything together with double sided tape. When it came to sticking them to the bags, I found that the glue stick gave it the strongest hold. The Gryffindor crest was found through a Google search. Once they were glued on, I added tissue paper as a finishing touch.

At the end of the party each child was able to fill a bag with all of the days goodies and bring a piece of magic home with them!
