Chocolate Mousse Layered Dessert

Looking for a fun dessert to make with your kids? Nothing gets a child interested in baking like telling them they can tear into some cake!

Chocolate Mousse Layered Dessert

Ingredients

Chocolate Cake

  • 1 box Betty Crocker Chocolate Fudge Super Moist Cake Mix

Chocolate Mousse

  • Betty Crocker Chocolate Mousse

Vanilla Pudding

  • 1 box Jell-O Vanilla Instant Pudding

Garnishes

  • Whipped cream
  • Pirouline Viennese Wafers
  • Coffee grounds
  • Berries
  • Gummy worms

Instructions

  1. Bake everything according to instructions. (Since I don't have Recipe Maker Premium, I had to link the recipe down below.)

  2. Once the cake has cooled, break it apart into crumbs. Place the chocolate mousse and vanilla pudding into separate piping bags.

  3. Add the chocolate cake crumbs, chocolate mousse and vanilla pudding into glasses one layer at a time.

  4. Top off with whipped cream, priouline viennese wafers and coffee grounds. Berries would also go great with this.

Once the cake has cooled, place it on your kitchen table with a large bowl next to it. Let your littles go to town digging into the cake and shoveling scoops of “dirt” into the bowl. This will be a great distraction for them while you make the chocolate mousse and vanilla pudding.

When everything is done, grab some plastic cups for the kids and glass ones for you and your SO. Pass out some spoons and have your kids scoop the cake into glasses while you alternate with the mousse and pudding. (Older helpers can help with the mousse and pudding as well!) Finish by topping off the glasses with some whipped cream, cookies, or for the kids cups….worms!

Have fun!!
