Growing up, these five cookies were a staple in our house. It’s hard to remember a time when we didn’t have cookies around, especially the chocolate chip cookies.
The simplicity of these recipes make for a great way to introduce your kids to baking! (With adult supervision of course.)
The first four recipes are extremely similar, just swap out an ingredient or two. When I was younger, I thought it was amazing how many cookie recipes my mom had memorized! Little did I know how easy all of these recipes were until I started baking.
If I had to pick a favorite, it would be the chocolate chip cookies. My mom was asked to bake these for every school function and party we went to.
I’ll be the first to admit, the no-bake chocolate oatmeal cookies will never win a prize for their looks, but boy are they good!
Let me know which one is your favorite! Happy baking!
