Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt together.
Add in eggs, buttermilk and butter. If you don't have buttermilk you can use a substitute of heavy cream and lemon. (For this, mix one cup of heavy cream and one tablespoon of lemon juice in a small bowl.)
Stir all ingredients together by hand until combined. Once complete, stir in raisins.
Grease two (9 in.) loaf pans or one large pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes in two pans, or for one hour in one large pan.
